Young people with personal experience (PPE) of mental health issues can make an active contribution to the research of Pathline network members. We are  open and welcoming to young people who wish to become members of our young people's advisory group (YPAG) network.

Young people can volunteer to participate in a range of  activities to help members with their research on children and young people's mental health through 1:1 or group interviews (in-person or online), or by giving feedback on written documents or audiovisual materials. Young people advisers are reimbursed for their time through vouchers or payments.

One example research activity is this illustrated poster and accompanying information booklet for parents and carers on puberty and the mental health of children and young people. Young people, as well as parents, teachers and mental health practitioners were consulted with about the written content for these resources.
